Your mouse

To move the eyes, EyeSpy reads where your pointer is on screen, live, while it runs. That position is used only to draw the eyes and isn't stored or sent anywhere.

Mouse stats

The Mouse Activity Dashboard is off unless you turn it on. When it's on, EyeSpy counts how far your pointer travels, your clicks and your active time, as daily totals. It doesn't record what you click on, which apps you use or anything you type.

• The stats are stored only on your Mac, inside the app's own sandboxed storage.
• They're never uploaded or shared.
• You can export them to a CSV file, or reset them, from the dashboard at any time.

When EyeSpy uses the internet

EyeSpy works without an account and contacts only these services:

• Update check: it asks Apple's public App Store lookup service whether a newer version exists. The request includes the app's identifier, not anything about you.
• Supporters list: the About window downloads the public list of supporters from comnet.co.il to show it. Nothing about you is sent with the request.
• Tips: the optional tip jar uses Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details, name or Apple ID. The app keeps a note on your Mac that you've tipped, to show your supporter badge.
• Reviews: now and then the app may show Apple's standard "rate this app" prompt, which Apple handles.

Like any request on the internet, the servers involved see your IP address as part of delivering the response. We don't use it to identify you.

Email

If you email us at [email protected] (for example from the app's Help or About window), we use your email only to reply to you.

This website

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. The eyes demo remembers the style and settings you choose in your own browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard technical logs, like IP addresses, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

The "Buy me a coffee" link takes you to Buy Me a Coffee, which handles any payment under its own privacy policy.

Children

EyeSpy was made for my daughter, and it's suitable for everyone. Since it collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
